Melissa is a Colorado Native. A mother to two daughters - Jordan and Jocelyn and three furbabies -Daisy, Peach and Bolt. She and her husband Eric met in the hospitality industry - it was love at first sight and have been married for 18 years. She considers herself a one project wonder, enjoys gardening, and is a pretty good cook 'if she does say so herself'.
Melissa has always had a passion for seniors that started with being a caregiver for her granny at a young age. That passion grew as she attended CSU and received her B.S. Degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a Concentration in Gerontology. She interned at the Fort Collins Senior Center. Shortly thereafter, she landed her long-time position at Heather Gardens as an Assistant Manager - overseeing the recreation programs and volunteers.
She moved on to work in sales for two different independent and assisted living communities in the Denver area. Melissa realized how overwhelmed families are when looking at senior living options. She decided to work for a placement agency for 5 years and eventually opened her own company - iPlace Seniors, April 2019.
Melissa saved our family so much time. She asked questions to truly understand what the family wanted and the care mom needed. I can't imagine going through this process without Melissa's help.
YOU brought great value to our family by helping Grandma Betty find a wonderful home. I am so grateful and I tell everyone about your services.

A few years ago my dad, who was ninety needed my help to find an assisted living community. Of course, I had no idea how to go about the search. Fortunately, for me I was given Melissa Clifford’s phone number, That was the best day of my life because she guided me and my dad through the process of finding him his new place to live. She is very knowledgeable, she does all the research. But once a client she is there for continued help when needed. She also went a step beyond and checked up on Dad to see how he was doing in his new place. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any person needing to find a special place for their loved one.
Sincerely, Vicki G.
You helped me when I was not knowledgeable to figure this out by myself and you helped to find the best place for my father,

I would just like to say “thank you” for all your help and assistance when I was looking for an assisted living option for my Aunt. You took the time to ask questions to get to know us and what we were looking for before we ever set foot in any facility. And while I had no idea where to start looking, with your knowledge and understanding of the assisted living market, you were able to narrow down choices to help us based on what we needed for location, types of care, lifestyles, etc.
Because my Aunt and her daughter both live out of the area, I appreciate the time you took to take me to various locations and, then, after I narrowed down the choices, to take them to see them too when they were able to arrange travel to the Denver area. You were so patient when you met my Aunt, answering her questions and just being beyond pleasant.
You made what was a stressful, difficult time so much easier for all of us. And even though my Aunt eventually made the decision to stay in her home for as long as possible, I know that the decision was easier for her based on what she learned from you about assisted living options. And, because of the time you spent with all of us, if and when the time comes for her to go into an assisted living arrangement, we will be armed with the information we need to make the decision. And we will definitely contact you to again ask for your help.
Again, thank you so much for all that you did for our family.
I’m a younger senior and have been a caretaker of family and friends for several years now. I was recently in need of help with friends; husband and wife, he having Alzheimer’s and she with terminal cancer. I explain this because Melissa went out of her way not to push and ask too many questions initially. I introduced Melissa as a friend and she is more like a saint. My friends wanted to move out of state and Melissa quickly organized the outline of necessary things to do to... help make a smooth transition; e.g., contact with their Social worker, family members, Senior services in the other state, housing, etc. Melissa is a calm, kind spirit who will care for you and your family, pretty much like she does her own. As a business woman as well, I trust Melissa and I know she’ll be there when I need her. You’ll appreciate this woman!
